women from my dreams: randall’s employee

I had a dream that I was aimlessly exploring the urban wasteland of the united states. across the stroad was a randall’s supermarket, still open. it was dark and eerie to me, so I did not initially approach. but I decided I should face my fears and go in.

there were basically no other customers inside. and it was just about to close. I chatted up an employee who was gorgeous, and I fell in love with her. I walked around with her until it was so that the store was closing.

the vast body of employees of this randall’s franchise emerged like ants and then formed into a grid across the store. then, they sat down and relaxed. I asked my new friend about this. she explained to me that periodically, the employees are compelled to sleep in the store.

little sleeping was done in lieu of screwing around. it stormed violently outside, sometimes shaking the building. my friend and I visited the bathroom, and after this became distracted, wandering around.

our traipse was cut short by a discovery, that the computer section of the store was secretly converted into a call center at night. a man with a militaresque gun emerged and threatened us to back away. we raised our hands in the air and did so.

at no determinate point in time, the shelves and signs and products had become a fertile forest of trees and plants and animals. the employees integrated with this environment, in some cases, literally merging into it.

the man remarked that those who remain individual are safer. then he began firing his gun. it emitted a beam of light that cut through the air and dimmed its surroundings with its intensity. it focused on one sole and separate target at a time.

those multiple who had joined into one organism were victimized. in contact with the beam, their flesh sloughed. the military man implored all to separate, to lessen the casualty and to submit to it.

instead, the organisms grew their boundaries ever fuzzier, melting into each other. the entire forest became indivisible, and it was too massive to be victimized.

I asked my new friend for her phone number.
